EQUIS and AACSB Accreditation

The University of St.Gallen is the first public university in the German-speaking region of Europe to be accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EQUIS). The Equis accreditation demonstrates St.Gallen's leading position in quality management education when compared with other Swiss, foreign and private universities.

The EQUIS review recognized the highest level of quality in the following areas: University's Mission, Governance and Strategy; Administration of Students; Student Placement; Contribution to the Community; Program Administration; Time Devoted to Research; Focus on Personal Development; Faculty and Resources; Connections with the Corporate World; International Partnerships and Exchanges; Language and Intercultural skills.

In January 2004, the University of St Gallen also achieved accreditation by the International Association for Management Education (AACSB). The AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide. Institutions that earn AACSB accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive review.
