Alexandra Mihailescu
Alexandra is an alumna of the MBA-HSG Class of 2009 and the founder of the MBA-HSG Women in Business organization. Prior to coming to Switzerland, she spent over five years working at the corporate headquarters of Mercedes-Benz USA, where she most recently held the position of Marketing and Sales Specialist for Automotive Accessories within the area of After-Sales Business Development. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with honors and a Certificate in International Studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, USA.
During the MBA, Alexandra spent an exchange semester at HEC School of Management in Paris, and completed an MBA Project at the Global Microinsurance Practice of Zurich Financial Services, working in both Switzerland and Moldova. After graduation, she continues to work with the MBA Women in Business organization, and is also the editor of the St.Gallen MBA Alumni Newsletter.
In her free time, Alexandra enjoys travelling, a variety of outdoor sports (tennis, badminton, hiking and bicycling), collecting music from around the world, and reading about politics, economics and psychology.
Her career interests include sustainability, particularly sustainable finance and investments, as well as Eastern European development.
