Many challenges facing the world today, such as poverty, inequality and climate change, require solutions and capital at scale that the governments, charities and NGOs cannot achieve on their own. Private/institutional capital and market-based solutions are essential in complementing government intervention and charitable donations in developing sustainable and integrated ways of solving these problems.

 

Finance III

The course provides an integrated understanding of the main subject matters of modern corporate finance such as the principles of corporate valuation, the need of capital budgeting, the capital structure decision and related dividend policy as well as the challenges and instruments of risk management.

 

Law I

The skills acquired in this course will help you when you need to communicate effectively with in-house and external legal counsel, recognize, assess and prevent liability risks for yourself and the company in criminal, civil and regulatory matters, understand options, control costs, and increase your chance of success in legal disputes, write and understand contracts with international partners.

 

Leadership

This course examines the leadership challenges on three levels: leading an organisation, leading a team, and leading oneself. Particular attention is also given to the additional leadership challenges around change and the implications of transforming organizations.
