MBA Project
The MBA Project offers a unique opportunity individual or teams of MBA participants to work with companies on a mutually-agreed management project. Working individually or in cross-functional groups of 2-4 members, MBA participants spend 10-12 weeks developing academically-grounded yet innovative solutions to management issues. The result is a comprehensive report for the host company that reflects extensive study inputs and cutting edge management ideas developed at the University of St. Gallen.
Supervision
MBA students are guided through the duration of the project by a Professor at the University of St.Gallen. This is to ensure that students deliver results that are grounded in academic rigour and are both creative and practical at the same time.
Examples
An MBA project could take the form of an industry analysis, a business plan or a strategy project. Typical examples would be:
M&A feasibility research
Market entry analysis
Technology assessment
International relocation strategy
Introduction of new management principles
Actual examples of MBA project titles from previous years
Project Fees
Sponsoring companies are expected to reimburse MBA participants for expenses. Companies will often pay a consultancy fee to the MBA Project student. The amount of the remuneration is decided between the company and the student.
