The course will introduce Organisational Behaviour (OB) models and look at OB at individual, team and organisational level. It consists of 3 building blocks:
- Foundational OB Concepts - (Michael Liley)
- OB in a New World (4th Industrial Revolution) - (Michael Liley)
- Managing Change – Concepts and Case work - (Rafael Altavini)
Particular focus will be placed on links between the various aspects of OB and how they all impact organisational performance (business results). In addition, this course will zoom on the subject of Change Management, as a key driver of organisational transformation in an age of fast paced technological innovation and ever increasing complexity. Most sessions are highly interactive and include class discussions. Participants are encouraged to contribute actively to a vivid learning experience.
Michael C. Liley is a former senior HR Executive with more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of HR and Talent Management. In the past he has worked as a Global HR Director in private sector (Ernst & Young, now EY) and public sector (United Nations, UNDP). Today he works with Accenture as a Strategy Consultant specialized in the Workforce of the Future, New Work and the Future of HR. He serves as subject matter expert, speaker and member in several thought leadership councils (Economist Intelligence Unit, CEB etc.). He is a certified Systemic Coach. Michael has lived and worked in Germany, UK and US – and on projects in more than 50 countries.
Rafael is Head of Talent Management and Organisational Development for the Schindler Group based in Ebikon Switzerland. His responsibilities include Organisational Design, Talent Attraction, Leadership Development, Succession Planning and Diversity & Inclusion. Prior to his career in HR, Rafael worked for about 15 years in executive positions in other business areas, leading organisations with hundreds of employees and being accountable for significant business results. Rafael holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA from IMD and an Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD. He is Brazilian and has lived and worked in Germany, China, Switzerland, Thailand, Brazil and France.
